Why Does SYQEL Look Different On Each Browser?

SYQEL plays the same visuals in every browser. There is no reduced set for any browser. When the show looks different from one browser or computer to another, it’s almost always one of these:

• Graphics acceleration is off. SYQEL draws with your graphics card. With acceleration off, visuals stutter, look choppy, or some don’t load at all (“This visual failed to load”). Turn it back on in your browser’s settings. See Is SYQEL optimized to a specific browser?
• The browser or graphics card is out of date. The richer visuals, such as Milkdrop and Worlds, need modern graphics support (WebGL 2). Update your browser and graphics drivers.
• The computer is working hard. A slower graphics card, a large or high-resolution screen, or lots of open tabs lower the frame rate. Set Target FPS to 60 or 30 in Settings › Playback.
• The audio is different. Visuals react to what SYQEL hears. A laptop microphone across the room moves the visuals far less than a line from your mixer. Check the Input meter beside the stage: if it barely moves, see Troubleshooting audio detection.
• Your settings differ. Your Appearance theme, logos and Frequency Reactiveness presets are saved in each browser separately, so a different browser starts with the defaults. Your visuals, playlists, hotkeys and marquee follow your account. See Account Sync.

For the most consistent results on stage, use SYQEL Desktop. It runs the same way every time on your Mac or Windows computer, and your library plays offline.
