Adding Marquee Text

The marquee is a line of text that scrolls across the visuals: a shout-out, a drink special, your handle. It works on every plan and in any language.

Set it up

Open Settings › Marquee and fill in:

• Message — the text to scroll.
• Text Color — use the picker or type a color code.
• Font (installed) — Space Grotesk is the default.
• Direction — Left or Right.
• Position (%) — how far down the screen it sits, from 0 (top) to 100 (bottom).
• Speed — 0 to 100.
• Font size — 20 to 200.

The Preview — where it sits on screen box shows the result as you go. There is no Save button; changes apply straight away. Your marquee settings sync between your computers through Account Sync.

Show it

Press M to show or hide the marquee. It starts hidden each time you open SYQEL. You can remap Toggle Marquee or put it on a MIDI pad in Settings › Hotkeys & MIDI.

The marquee goes out with everything SYQEL sends: Broadcast, NDI and recordings.

Tip: busy, bright visuals can swallow thin text. A larger size and a color that stands out from your visuals read best from across a room.
