Frequently asked questions

We have live music on Friday nights — will it work with a band as well as recorded music?

Yes. SYQEL reads any live audio feed, so a band's PA output works exactly the same as a Spotify playlist. The visuals respond to the live mix coming off the stage — if anything, live music tends to produce more dynamic visual responses.

Our taproom aesthetic is pretty low-key — will the visuals fit or feel out of place?

That's entirely up to your preset selection. SYQEL includes very slow, organic, abstract visuals that feel more like a living texture than a light show. Many taprooms run these at low intensity and guests treat them as ambient decor rather than entertainment.

Can we run SYQEL on a TV we already have mounted on the wall?

Yes. SYQEL outputs to any display connected to the host computer via HDMI or DisplayPort. If the TV is networked, NDI lets you push to it over the existing Wi-Fi or LAN without a physical cable.
